Sheridan Media Group seeks community organization information for 2006 editions of the Out & About Phonebook FEBRUARY 17, 2006 — Sheridan Media Group is looking for organizations that address issues facing the LGBTQ community to feature in the Out & About Phonebook. Both the Western and Eastern New York editions of Out & About feature a free Resource Guide listing section where community groups have their contact information printed free of cost. Last year, there were over 220 groups listed in the Resource Guides of the Out & About Phonebook. Each Resource Guide is divided by region, listing groups that operate within Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, the Capital Region, North Country and Hudson Valley. These organizations offer everything from AIDS counseling and support to social groups, such as the Capital Country Kickers and the Buffalo Bears. In an effort to increase these Resource Guide listings, Sheridan Media Group has advertised in LGBTQ publications to feature current organizations listed in the Resource Guide of the directory. The latest Resource Guide information made available for Out & About Western & Central New York and Out & About Eastern New York indicate that the Resource Guides for both publications will be increasing by at least 20% in size.
